“Well I figured I’d drop by and see you before I headed back to New York. We’ve only been exchanging text here and there since we went out on our date. I didn’t get the chance to tell you that I was flying out for Comic-Con because it was a last minute decision. One of my writers couldn’t make it, so I decided to come in his place. I wanted to stop by to say hi to you and see if we could go grab another bite to eat after you wrap things up here.”

I opened my mouth to respond but then clamped it shut when one of the Sony reps stepped into the middle of our triangle and advised me that it was now time for me to meet with the fans again and finish what I was getting paid to do. Thankful for the interruption, I followed her over to the first group of teenagers waiting. I signed a few autographs and posed for pictures. When I looked over my shoulder to see if Noah and Caspian were at least having some kind of cordial conversation, I was surprised to see Caspian no longer there. I scanned the crowd a bit trying to see his tall frame somewhere in the vicinity but couldn’t find him. After about an hour and a half passed and Caspian was still out of sight, I assumed he’d had enough of the pandemonium of Comic-Con and decided to leave. By the time things started to calm down and the crowd started to thin out, I was so ready to go to my room, take a bath, and get some rest.
